Whether you have experience as a primary care PA, working in a subspecialty, or are just starting out, joining the Veterans Affairs (VA) workforce may be right for you! Working for the VA does not mean that you are serving in the military; many job postings are for the general public. Veterans and their families are a unique patient population to work with, and many providers find it to be a very fulfilling role. The VAs are typically very welcoming to PAs and even have PA-specific resources available to review when considering a job with them.
