General Licensing Information
PA Licensing Requirements can be reviewed by state.
NCCPA publishes the licensing board applicable to PAs in each state.
Expectations for Salary and Compensation
Salary and compensation are fundamental components of a job offer. In order to know your worth, you should understand the range of these values from peers in your state and specialty.
AAPA publishes a salary report annually that can be reviewed for these data.
A review of multiple sources suggests average salary for a new graduate PA in any specialty is around $125,000. Specialty and location of practice can significantly impact expectations, as can the state of practice! A salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 was considered "near average" when researching state average salary expectations.
Top PA Employers

Health systems with tax exempt status is listed. Why does tax exempt status (also known as a 501c-3 organization) matter? Public service loan forgiveness (PSLF), a loan forgiveness program offered by the US federal government, requires employment by a tax exempt institution. Read more about PSLF on the government website and on the Scholarships and Loan Forgiveness page.
All of these data can be reviewed at their independent sites for verification.
