Expectations for Salary and Compensation

Salary and compensation are fundamental components of a job offer. In order to know your worth, you should understand the range of these values from peers in your state and specialty.

AAPA publishes a salary report annually that can be reviewed for these data.

A review of multiple sources suggests average salary for a new graduate PA in any specialty is around $125,000. Specialty and location of practice can significantly impact expectations, as can the state of practice! A salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 was considered "near average" when researching state average salary expectations.
